Process Improvement Team Engineer
The Process Improvement Team Analyst works directly with the Process Improvement Team Manager, shop supervisors, engineering and purchasing to improve manufacturing methods, processes, products and workflow.

- Redesigns parts to improve manufacturability.
- As directed, will perform engineering changes, then coordinates, implements, manages and tracks changes through engineering and manufacturing.
- Evaluate steps in manufacturing to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time and implementation of lean enterprise.
- Coordinates improvements in inventory systems, inventory availability, and inventory turns.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Associates degree in engineering or manufacturing preferred.
Experience: Must successfully pass the Process Improvement Team (PIT) test.
Skills: Needs to be a self-starter and be able to work alone. Must be able to follow through and
follow-up on tasks. Must be able to multitask and be organized in a multitask work environment. Must be flexible in changing of priorities, daily tasks and direction. Will be expected to provide and present reporting on special projects assigned within our manufacturing and engineering processes. Will be expected to increase in and stay current of overall lean manufacturing concepts. Weill be expected to gain a thorough understanding of the current workcenter’s capabilities on the shop floor.
Requirements: Understands lean manufacturing concepts and initiates process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Hands-on approach. Shift work and some travel required.
