Bauma China 2014 was held from 25-28 November 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai, China. Visitors were impressed with the MaxTronic 140-100 concrete products machine which anchored the booth along with the wide variety of high quality concrete units displayed. The Besser stand was busy throughout the show as staff discussed the production of concrete masonry units, hardscape products, pipe and precast elements with attendees. Mano Reisman, Sales Agent and Duane Rondeau, Director of International Sales and Applications Engineering assisted Besser Sanhe Managing Director Yan Huiwen and his sales team during the four day show.
Besser began exhibiting at Bauma China when the show debuted in 2002. This year’s show, the seventh, was the largest to date. A total of 300,000 m2 (3,229,173 sq ft) was occupied by 3,104 exhibitors from 41 countries.
International visitors grew 12% from 2012 helping to boost attendance when the Chinese construction market is experiencing a downturn. The majority of the visitors spending time in the Besser stand were from mainland China, Australia, Canada, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Kazakhstan , Malaysia, Oman, Palestine, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Uzbekistan. Overall attendance reached 191,000 visitors, 8% more than in 2012. After China the top ten visitor countries and regions abroad were Russia, Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia – in that order.
