Although he has over twenty years at Besser under his belt, Travis Dye is one of our newest Sales Representatives. Travis spent fifteen years working directly with our Sioux City manufacturing team, leading the assembly department before joining sales. He now focuses his efforts on our concrete pipe production and handling equipment. He’s highly qualified to do so, with extensive product knowledge gained from hands-on experience, including the identification and assembly of the components of our machinery down to the fasteners and the full gamut of machine operation and pipe production. Given his keen technical skills, Travis is a tremendous resource for industry members, especially producers operating Besser equipment. Whether locating a part, troubleshooting a malfunction, or selling new equipment or machine upgrades, he takes pride in finding the right solution.
Travis enjoys meeting producers in person through interaction at their facilities and at the American Concrete Pipe Association schools and trade shows. This year he’ll be participating with the other sales team members at the ACPA’s first B2B event. “I’ve met lots of great people and am looking forward to developing more friendships throughout the industry,” commented Travis. With coaching from Besser sales veterans, Gary Ericson and Russ Lane, he is quickly learning the sales ropes.
Travis is married and has two energetic daughters, 8 and 10. The family’s free time is spent enjoying whatever activity the girls are involved with at the time. During summer months they like taking trips to the lake to play on the beach and splash in the water.
