Brampton Brick relied upon Besser to produce their newest big board mold for the manufacture of Legato Series Stone (brick). The complete project, from the time the order was taken, through customer approvals and manufacturing was an impressive 8 weeks. Today they are running the complete mold assembly in their Tiger PS100 machine and producing forty units per cycle. Sixteen different shoe designs are contained within the 40 shoes so a wide variety of unit appearances are produced during each cycle.
The unique features of this mold are:
- Produces 40 units per cycle.
- Each unit has an end texture that is independent from the top texture. If desired Brampton can mix and match the stripper shoes with the end texture to create even more variety within their Legato Series product line.
- The mold is 49-1/4″ (125.095 cm) deep x 78-3/4″ (200.025 cm) wide x 21” (53.34 cm) high (including the plunger assembly). The total weight is approximately 5000 lbs (2267.96 kg).
Legato Series Stone units are very popular in the marketplace, they are designed to mimic the beauty of hand-hewn stone. Manufactured in a Premier Plus size, Legato Stone is easy to install. The colors for Legato were selected to complement their Vivace Series products. When the two products are combined they create, (quoting from their website), “… the ultimate definition of superior aesthetics and lasting durability.” Legato Series stone is available in four colors, including pewter, sepia, khaki and midnight.
