Besser Company is pleased to announce two promotions. Scott Kennedy, previously Technical Service Manager for Pipe and Precast, has accepted the position of VP of Pipe and Precast and Ryan LaVigne, formerly Technical Service Representative for Masonry and Hardscape, has accepted the role of Technical Service Manager for Pipe and Precast.
Scott owned and operated his family’s Besser-equipped pipe plant in North Carolina for over twenty years, successfully growing the business before selling to Hanson (now Forterra) in 2007. At that time, he joined the Besser Team in a technical service capacity; first as a contractor and then as Technical Service Manager in 2017. He’s an instructor for the American Concrete Pipe Association’s Pipe School, and for the Besser training programs held in Sioux City and in producers’ plants.
In his role as VP, Scott will lead the Pipe and Precast Team with his can-do attitude, resourcefulness, and intimate industry knowledge. Scott can be reached at +1.980.621.6074 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ryan joined the Besser Team in 1998 as an intern from Alpena Community College’s Concrete Technology program. Upon graduation he became an employee and spent the next 15-months in the Besser Management Trainee program, spending time in all departments, before finding his permanent role as a Technical Service Representative for Masonry and Hardscape.
During the last several years, Ryan has broadened his product knowledge and become Besser’s resident expert in vapor generators for concrete products plants. He’s also gained practical hands-on pipe machinery experience in pipe plants during formal training which has prepared him for his new responsibilities. Ryan can be reached at +1.989.906.2442 or email@example.com.
Together, Scott, Ryan, and the entire Besser Pipe and Precast Team, will continue to focus on delivering the industry’s highest quality customer experience.
