Packerhead Maintenance

If you have a packerhead machine, (regular or BiDi), the rollerhead will need some daily maintenance.

At the end of each day’s production, rollers should be removed, and cleaned. Each roller should be removed, and its place on the frame marked, so that the individual rollers can be cleaned, and all parts greased.

The reason for marking the location of the rollers is that they MUST be returned to the same hole from which they were removed. Each roller should previously have been adjusted for proper alignment with the frame, and replacing it to a different location after the wear from a days production could cause damage to the roller, the machine, and almost certainly to the pipe being produced.

Make your life much easier - clean and maintain your rollers after each production day before returning them to their original locations on the roller frame.
