Change in Leadership for Iowa
Operations of Besser Company
Besser
Company sadly announces that Jon Dannenberg, president of Besser
Company Sioux City and Boone, passed away on Wednesday, 28
September. He suffered an aneurism on 19 September, and although
Jon fought bravely, he never recovered from the surgery and its
complications. Jon was 62. Friends and co-workers will miss
Jon’s leadership, honesty, generosity and sincerity.
Jon’s
character allowed him to build solid relationships with
employees and customers alike. Due to the fact that he
respected his fellow employees, he was trusted and liked.
During his tenure with McCracken, IPMC and now Besser, he united
three competitive companies into one extremely viable force for
the pipe and precast industry. He managed the company well,
making it financially strong to ensure the future for its
employees. His spirit will continue to live on in Besser,
thanks to the strength of his leadership and vision.
Jon worked
very closely with Roger Morrow, the secretary/treasurer of Sioux
City and Boone operations. Together, with their passion for the
industry, they built a responsive company staffed by a
knowledgeable team of people dedicated to providing high quality
equipment and service to match.
Roger has
accepted the role as president of Sioux City and Boone
operations. With his intimate knowledge of the Iowa operations
garnered from over 30 years there, he brings a strong background
in finance as he carries a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a
CPA.
We have the
utmost confidence that the Iowa teams will continue to shine and
deliver the highest level of service to Besser customers under
Roger’s guidance.
