New
Pipemakers Workshops™ Series Offered
Pipemakers
Workshops™ are a new series of courses offered at the World Center for
Concrete Technology (WCCT) in Alpena, Michigan. These courses are designed
for all members of the concrete pipe industry, from those involved in
production to the numerous suppliers of materials and equipment used in
the manufacture of concrete pipe.
Education
gives personnel the background to make informed decisions and hands-on
training creates top-notch job performers. All the programs at the WCCT
are delivered with these concepts in mind.
Concrete
Pipe Technology, the first course in the series, will be held May 12-16,
2003. This course focuses on cementitious materials, aggregate grading and
blending, developing a quality design mix, laboratory testing of raw
materials, and methods of curing concrete pipe. Specifications, testing
methods, and the many uses for concrete pipe will be addressed. The course
carries two college credits.
To
register for this course, log onto our web site at www.WCCT.net
