Master Blockmaker^™ Certification Earned

The number of Master Blockmakers^™continues to increase as more Blockmaker Workshops^® are completed at the World Center for Concrete Technology in Alpena, Michigan.

Bert Lavereau of Atlas Block Company in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, earned Master Blockmaker certification by completing his final required course, the Concrete Masonry Technology Blockmakers Workshop, held 18-22 March 2002.

Blockmakers Workshops originated in 1954 to assist in developing qualified professionals in the concrete products industry. The workshops are a joint partnership between in the new World Center for Concrete Technology, Alpena Community College and Besser Company. All Master Blockmakers have successfully completed five predetermined courses that prepare each individual in the efficient and effective production of quality concrete products.
