Splitting and Cubing Line
At the Manufactured Concrete Products Expo in Anaheim, California Besser introduced a new product handling system that utilizes three separate cuber feeding lines to provide optimum product handling flexibility.
The system features dual S63EZ splitting lines that can handle products up to 16” (406 mm) wide from 1-5/8” – 12” (42 mm to 305 mm) high at a production rate of 2.5 seconds per split at 8” (200 mm) splitter feed conveyor travel.
The splitters feature a 1-1/4” steel plate Space Frame™ for easy clean-out and maintenance. The splitter employs dual 6” bore, 12” stroke splitting cylinders for greater splitting force and quick change blades and wear plates. Side knives offer quick adjustments for vertical and horizontal positioning.
The center feeding line is for pavers and features a slat conveyor with heavy duty 5/8” thick slats and overhead tier pusher to feed the 3600 cuber.
The system also features a model 3600 cuber. The cuber features dual patternmakers, dual overhead sidefeeds with lift blade and powered rollers, a center feeding station, a tier lift table, a carriage plate that travels under the four-way tier clamp, a pallet dispenser and a downstacking cube table.
