Batching
and Mixing Technologies for All Concrete Industries
The Besser
manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas creatively approaches the
material handling and storage requirements for the diverse segments of
the concrete industries. The San Antonio facility designs and fabricates
innovative batching and mixing plants, which are operating in block,
landscape, paving, pipe, precast, prestressed and ready-mix facilities.
This limestone
crushing and screening facility produces 3000 tons (2730 metric tons)
per hour.
A recent product
evolution by Besser, related to batching plants, is the modular weigh
belt design. Plants with this feature can be easily extended to increase
capacity. The proficiency of the system is greater since no
"jogging" of the conveyor is necessary to reach total weigh
out capacity of the material. These batch plants also offer optimum
performance features, such as high-torque drives for belts, wear liners
on all sloped surfaces, new style bottom discharge, dual stainless steel
rope skips, ribbon mixers, high-speed Simem twin-shaft mixers and
multi-door planetary mixers.
The San Antonio
manufacturing facility supplies a unique bolt-together aggregate bin
design, which can accommodate additional storage bins ranging from 60
tons to 140 tons. Volumetric, cumulative, or static weigh belt systems
are matched to the product being produced, the capacity of the mixer and
the desired output rates to cr eate
an efficient system.
The M-12 is a
mobile concrete batch plant that erects easily in the field.
The Besser M-12
ready-mix plant is a favorite among producers throughout North America.
"I own four different brands of batch plants. I think that the
Besser plant is superior to the others. It is quality made and the
service we receive is excellent. Plus the plant loads quickly – 2:20
for a 10 cubic yard load!" shared Greg Boyd, president, Boyd Ready
Mix, College Station, Texas. His preference for Besser batch plants is
confirmed by the new M-12 he currently has on order. M-12 batch plants
can produce up to 300 cubic yards of transit mix concrete per hour.
Besser also
manufactures a full-line of dust control equipment for the transit mix
industry. The Besser 60-7000 model scavenger system is an industry
standard.
Delivery system
engineering and design capabilities are additional services provided by
Besser. Whether a conveyor belt system, monorail delivery bucket system,
chute work system or elevator, our staff of material handling engineers
and designers will create a system that meets your requirements.

Aggregate
bins feature a modular design for ease of installation and future
expansion.
The cement, sand and
gravel, and oil field service industries have made the San Antonio
manufacturing facility a preferred supplier of specially designed
equipment.
