Kiln Doors
Besser Company has
designed and manufactured an automatic sliding kiln door. The automatic
door is available with new LSC car and crawler systems or can replace an
existing kiln door.
Features:
- The kiln door is
constructed of aluminum for corrosion resistance and has an
insulated core for improved heat transfer properties. The door is
lightweight resulting in little stress on the drive mechanism and
easy installation.
- The drive
mechanism features a positive rack and pinion controlled by an
Allen-Bradley 160 frequency drive which provides smooth operation
and minimizes kiln door adjustments. The drive is located at floor
level outside the curing chamber to offer easy maintenance. This
location away from rising steam also helps to avoid rust and
contamination.
- The LSC-40/100
SLC-504 processor opens and closes the door, eliminating the need
for an expensive control panel.
- Two limit switches
are located at each end: one for deceleration and one for stopping.
